Noni (Morinda citrifolia) - the extract of this Polynesian plant is the basis of many cosmetics which have made a hit on the market. It is a very strong antioxidant and it heals many skin problems. It has been chosen as a component of Colway cosmetic products because it does not interfere with fish collagen.

Aloe (Aloe vera) - well-established in cosmetology source of flavonoids. It has moisturizing and soothing qualities which is extremely appreciated by consumers who often peel their skin. The most important is the fact that aloe used in COLWAY cosmetics come from selected and verified cultures.

It is also well documented that it denatures skin proteins, which causes not only irritation, but also allows environmental contaminants easier access to the lower, sensitive layers of the skin.

Perhaps most worryingly, SLS is also absorbed into the body from skin application. Once it has been absorbed, one of the main effects of sodium lauryl sulfate is to mimic the activity of the hormone estrogen. This has many health implications and may be responsible for a variety of health problems from PMS and Menopausal symptoms to dropping male fertility and increasing female cancers such as breast cancer, where estrogen levels are known to be involved.
